The Kumo Break is perhaps my favorite strategy.  Approx. 08:00 EST I look for a thin cloud and quiet activity.  Then when the price breaks and the chikou confirms and the ts, ks are all in alignment I take the trade.  My goal is 100 pips per week but the frustrating part ( Smiley ) is usually when a break happens I end up with 200 or more pips for that trade.  Then my trading week is over.  Usually I net those before Tuesdays.  Which means I have the rest of the week to play.

Indeed, what timeframes, which market, and what pair or symbol are you trading?

HI k451

I havent seen pipfisher on here since December, but if it helps I generally trade 4H or higher. You can scalp with lower time frames if that's your interest

Here's a 4h I traded for 350 pips

Hi jkosze
Yes we traded it in real time on the LincolnFX.com site.

Here's another we did over the last 10 days for 100's of pips. (All documented on the site).

Hello,

For long term trading, 120/240/daily are great timeframes to use.   For day trading, you can use 10/30/60/120.   For scalping, 1/3/5/10/15 are good timframes.

One question about the Kumo break out as well as any other signal, if the chikou span isn't immediately confirming it, is it too late to enter it once there is a chikou span cross/confirmation in the desired direction?

If you are using the Kumo Breakout strategy, the Chikou may not be support the Kumo breakout initially.  The key is make sure Chikou is close to price so it can "flip" and support your strategy with some price movement in the direction of your trade.   If it is far away then that is telling you that the breakout may not have good momentum in the direction of the trade at the beginning.

I am having a lot of success with the Kumo break out strategy with the following parameters;

1 hour chart.
I wait for an open and close above or below the cloud, (helps filter false breaks) and enter on the open of the next bar.
Only use on EUR/USD, GBP/USD, AUD/USD, CAD/USD, NZD/USD.
Stop is other side of the cloud.
If I get a large bar so price has moved a long way from the cloud I will either wait for a quick retrace to the cloud before entering or skip the trade.

Hello Manesh & Everyone,

I have been trading for 2yrs now, I usually trade harmonic patterns on the 4hr t/f with the fibs.

Very new to Ichimoku and looking forward to learning this method.

Is there a live trade analysis section within this forum?

At the moment I only trade the eur/usd, which looks quite bearish on the daily, however, I am waiting for the 4hr tenken sen to cross up, or a pattern to appear, does anyone agree with this sentiment.

Kind regards
T
