Taking profit

Manesh,
After reading your book I was confused about where you should take profits. If you use the tenkan sen you are probably cutting your profits short. If you use the Kijun Sen then you are probably giving away a lot of profits. You suggested taking profits at 250 pips. Not a good idea if the trade goes 1000 pips in your direction.
They didn't address this in the original works of ichimoku?
Any better ideas on dealing with taking profits?

Hello,
After 250 pips of profits, you change your stop from KS to TS. It does not mean you exit the trade.
