Do you guys take the distance of price from TS and Kijun into account because it might cause retracement? If so, do you put much weight in it?

Thanks.

Hello,

Yes we do in our trading plan.  If price is too far from the Tenkan Sen for example that means it is out of equilibrium and needs to equalize i.e. pullback.   If the trend is strong, it will keep on going and tenkan sen will eventually catch up.

I'm not sure if I read that "tenkan sen will catch up" from your book, in that case I'll draft that in my notes.Cheesy

Anyways, if you also have read "somewhere" else saying that the distance of the price from the Tenkan Sen is not really that important as those Tenkan Sen and Kijun are not "really" the same as moving averages. Well that made me confused, but of course, I would love to follow your guide. Grin

Hi scorpians

Here's an interesting one for you.

Can you beleive you could find an FX pair where it would take 3 whole years for the price and Kijun Sen to meet?
(and 15 months for Tenkan to meet)

One example 1 June 02 - 1 June 05 on the Euro Monthly chart

Eventually it happens

Wow! Is that a Bull/Bear run? In that case, anyone can create a "profitable" system... Shocked

Hi scorpions

It was a bull run - here's a shot for you
Kijun meets in 3 years, Tenkan meets in 15 months.
